When someone has been fully absorbed into the California lifestyle — often unintentionally.
Side effects include: saying “no worries,” drinking $9 matcha, pretending 65°F is freezing, and having at least one tote bag with a produce pun on it.
May also include: beach pic dumps, permanent sunglasses, and referring to anxiety as “just energy shifts.”

Example sentence:
“Emily went to LA for a week and came back Californiated. She’s blonde now and calls traffic ‘part of the journey.’”
“He used to be a fast-walking New Yorker. Now he’s barefoot in Malibu journaling. Fully Californiated.”

1. verb - The act of migration from California to other states in search of cheaper housing, better morals, and lack of gangs, drugs, prostitution, etc. Instead, they drive up house prices whereever they move to, and bring their low morals, gangs, drugs, and prostitution to the other states.

2. verb - The performance of sexual acts with a person higher-up in the movie industry in order to be in a Hollywood movie, made famous in a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

3. verb - The combination of the words California and fornicate to signify the despicable acts defined above. See californication.

One who has lived or spent sufficient time in The Golden State to have been indoctrinated, conditioned, accustomed, habituated, etc., to the mind set, idiosyncrasies, peculiarities, moral attributes or lack thereof, etc., of that region's ethics, cultures, standards, etc.

After he had come home from 2 years of trying to make a name for himself in Hollywood, all of his family and friends could tell he had been californified beyond any hope of restoration to his previous wholesome, caring, selfless self.

when Californians move to another state and take their politics with them, thus driving up the cost of living for everyone else, pollution, traffic, crime and hurting the overall quality of life and turning their new state into another California. Examples include Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Seattle.

Phoenix was doing just fine until Californians moved here and started to Californicate it.
