Brother Bill

Old Slang name for a white man or local white police officer.

Used by black people in the deep south to refer to the white man in a joking but not offensive way. Not unlike Charlie Chan, Mickey Irish or Old Tom.
Brother Bill went hunting with them dogs again

Without that gun and the way I run, brother Bill wouldn't catch me all day, the way I run across that field you wouldn't catch me with an automobile!

Be good - and look out for brother Bill
