The name given to a person or persons ( Bridgewalker(s) ), who find it necissary to walk or ride over newly built bridges, tunnels etc or who attend openings of highrise or city developements.

Usualy a derogatory term used by working class people, to describe people who have too much time, and partake in such pointless outings.

Bridgewalking as it is know, is often done in large groups of people, sometimes numbering thousands.
"John, went down to the opening of the new east link freeway yesterday, and rode the entire length of it with thousands of other bridgewalkers."

News Reporter: "Thousands of people packed the new city link bridge on its opening today, walking the length of it and attending the ribbon cutting."
