A metaphor often used as a means of estimating or judging the level of
craic being interchanged between a circle of
friends. Rarely found amongst females. Its' embodiment could be a drinking vessel of any form, for example, a pint-sized tankard, beaker,

During a phenomenal session of
banter: 'The chalice of
banter is over-flowing!'
Before a night out: 'Time to fill the chalice of banter!'
When a person with smelly
chat contributes to a session too much: 'the chalice of banter has sprung a leak.'
