Amazing Race: 6 Continents, many countries, many cities, thousands and thousands of miles.
Survivor: 1 island, two shelters.
Amazing Race: Nice resting places
Survivor: Sand and sticks.

The Best Reality TV Show there is. It beat Survivor in the Emmys countless times.

The Amazing Race is probably the only reason why I watch TV nowadays.

A contest usually held on special occasions such as 420 involving enormous quantities of pot, beer, and food. The pot is usually of cheaper quality due to pricing concerns and the fact that weaker pot will enable teams to smoke more, and only beer, no hard or malt liquor, may be drunk. The food usually consists of pizza, burgers, or similar fare, but it must all be the same type of food across teams for fairness reasons.

Several teams consisting of the same number of people (the more the better) are made beforehand. These teams will then compete to see who can smoke, drink, and eat the most, all at the same time. However, different chores can be spread out among different team members. For example, if somebody on one team is a tank when it comes to alcohol, but another person is a lightweight with beer but a regular stoner, the alcoholic may take on the stoner's beer load while the stoner takes on the alcoholic's weed load.

A team member is disqualified if they pass out, throw up, or voluntarily give up. The team itself may go on playing if members are disqualified until the team has no more viable members or runs out of things to eat, drink, and smoke. A team wins by either outlasting the other teams and being the last team with members playing, or by finishing a certain predetermined quantity of pot, beer, and food.

People can and do change the rules to better suit their preferences.

Amazing Race Birthday Party

Special event where well-meaning housewife attempts to put her creativity and organizational skills to the test in order to expand her child's peer group. Her realization that the TV show is highly edited and actually combines days and days of footage into a tightly packed hour coincides with her forehead slapping self-deprecations about not ordering an online plan for the party and trying to save 10 bucks to do it herself.

The Amazing Race 

The Amazing Race is a reality-based television show produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and debuted in August, 2001. As of the present, it is on it's fifth incarnation.

The premise of the show involves 10 - 11 teams of two, who have a prior relationship be it dating, married, friends or family, travel around the world in a month competing in various challenges and picking up clues.
At each leg there is pit stop. Generally the last team to arrive will be elimated from the comptetion.
The prize? $1,000,0000 to the winning team.

The Amazing Race is better reviewed than other reality television shows and has won an Emmy award for Best Reality TV show.
