Someone with a very mysterious personality. Acryptic people are usually discreet, silent and smart. These people often show a quick-witted intelligence and are difficult or impossible to understand, explain, or identify.
Person 1: Hey! Did you see Ethan today?
Person 2: Yeah, but he doesn't talk much. He's pretty acryptic.
Person 1: That's too bad. I see him all the time but we never talk.
Person 2: I think he's really creative and intelligent, but chooses to be silent and mysterious.
