The combination of acknowledgment and an apology.

The highest form of an apology, when you acknowledge wrong doing and also say you are sorry.
Clint would not give his neighbor an acknowlogy even though she felt she deserved one.

Acknowlogize

Or "Acknowlogy"

When one doesn't actually apologize. Instead, they acknowledge that they have done wrong without actually saying sorry. Or someone trying to make you laugh after they realized they upset your feelings. They know they made a mistake, but use jokes and/or gifts as a way of saying sorry.
"Rather than my husband saying sorry, he acknowlogized by giving me flowers instead"

affection acknowlegement

The act of acknowleging an outcast, loner, or some one whom has experienced a humelliating event with affection. It is often non-sexuel and present in movies aimed at teens. It includes pecks on the cheek, non sexuel touching and rubbing, hugs and assuring phrases like are you ok? you want some thing to eat? you'll be alright, your so pretty, etc, Maybe performed by a man or a women, it may be performed on a women or a man.
