Young Academics On Ice
This is what "yaoi" stands for, parents! When your son/daughter mentions the word yaoi, this is what they mean.
YAOI is a nonprofit organization where underprivileged children with a high IQ learn to ice skate. A very beautiful organization, but mainly directed at teens and children.
If your son/daughter mentions YAOI and then begins to laugh, chances are they remembered a specific episode of YAOI which portrayed humor.
(For all non-parents here, you know what yaoi is. This is the definition you'll want to tell your parents - because it's right...)

Dark Academia
An aesthetic that is inspired by old and classic literature/philosophy, as well as themes of existentialism and death (essentially a knowledgeable, vintage emo). It revolves around a dark color scheme as the name implies, with hints of earthy tones as well, such as navy green, burgundy, cream, and brown/beige. This whole aesthetic is about looking like a wise-cracking, pretentious scholar, so you'd usually see one wearing plaid or suede dress pants, knitted turtlenecks, black belts, blazers, baggy overcoats, dress shoes/black heels, and pocket watches/gold vintage watches. You will occasionally find one lounging around in a used bookstore, reading old classics and writing poetry, or in a vintage coffee shop, ordering a black coffee or a green tea with no sugar.
"Wow, look at her blazer. And those Oxford flats! She's totally emulating the Dark Academia aesthetic!"

a magnet school in Loudoun County, Virginia that houses three sub-schools with a focus on STEM-based learning.

Only ERIC WILLIAMS, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER, a SNOWBENDER named WAYDE BYARD. And although his SNOWBENDING skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe WAYDE can save the world.
