Final Fantasy IX

In my opinion, the best game ever. Final Fantasy IX is very different thematically to FFVII and FFVIII since it returns to its roots. Instead of a modern world with mobiles and emails, the setting is pretty simple (although there are airships). It truly feels like a fantasy game and one that is done extremely well.

The characters are all unique and are brought to life by a beautifully written script. Nobuo Uematsu returned for his last solo FF sound track and it was amazing. From the beginning piece 'The Place I'll Return to Someday' to the emotionally powerful 'You're not alone', the music never fails to pull at those heart strings.

The gameplay is solid and enjoyable despite lacking any uniqueness. Which brings me onto another point about FFIX in that it was intended to be a throw back to the earlier Final Fantasys. In that respect the plot, characters and setting were not ground breaking. But all these aspects were done so damn well that Sakaguchi, the series founder called it the best Final Fantasy yet. Uematsu said the same.

In conclusion, FFIX is a magnificent game although it failed to make the impact that many FF fans (such as me) feel it deserved. So, for those of you who haven't played it, go play it now! It is more than just a game, the experience and memories may well last you a lifetime.
I just spent 80 hours playing Final Fantasy IX and it rocks, kupo!

Final Fantasy Phenomenon

The point at the end of a series where characters start hooking up and having kids.

Championed by the writing of Hideaki Sorachi.
The final battle's already over, and the story's gonna end soon. At this point yiu protag-types start proving ships and babymaking. It's the final fantasy phenomenon!

final fantasy xv

A fantasy based on reality. The greatest ARPG to date. This video game has a dark plot and an incredible cast of characters and a really hot and lethal female lead.

Praising this game is in front of the bad lot of FF fans is like praising anal sex in a Catholic church. Tread carefully within the convulated FF fandom.
Gamer 1: Yo, what do you think of Cindy from Final Fantasy XV?
Gamer 2: She's wonderful. But I don't get why Gladios gets a pass on showing his abs around, and fighting like that in front of enemies - SO MUCH TESTOSTERONE. While female characters are not allowed to embrace their sexuality in this game or be judged for their personality in gaming.

tropical fantasy

A cheap drink, often found in bodegas and other small delis in the "hood". Contains no natural ingredients. An alternative to grape juice, tropical fantasy has close to many flavors.

Wikipedia:
"Tropical Fantasy is an inexpensive soft-drink, originally from Brooklyn, New York. Its low price of 50¢ per 20-ounce bottle led to its success in the 1990s. Tropical Fantasy was initially popular in inner city areas, especially those with dense African-American and Hispanic populations.

In April 1991 rumors began circulating in black neighborhoods that the beverage was laced with a secret ingredient that would sterilize black men. The rumors claimed that the Ku Klux Klan was actually bottling the product and using the low price to attract poor blacks. Later that year the rumor spread rapidly and provoked violence in many city neighborhoods. Attacks occurred on delivery trucks and storekeepers who stocked Tropical Fantasy.

Due to these rumors and rising suspicions, sales of the beverage plummeted by 70%.

Brooklyn Bottling employees were sent into affected areas to distribute 'truth flyers' in attempt to dispel the rumor. Eventually, the New York City Health Department declared the soda safe. In a final attempt to save Tropical Fantasy's tainted reputation, NYC mayor David Dinkins, who was also African American, drank a bottle of Tropical Fantasy on television and attested to its safety. Eventually, sales of Tropical Fantasy began to pick up, and the story of sperm-killing comestibles began to latch on to other local products."
Yo, I'm bousta get me some tropical fantasy...

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

SkyPesos

Delta SkyMiles, also known as SkyPesos, is the frequent flyer program of Delta Airlines. It has a very poor value and hard to use.
- I'm trying to book an award flight to Paris, but I only have 70,000 SkyPesos
- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.

Hate Draft

1. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sports draft to spite or anger one or more of your opponents because they had intended to select him/her.

2. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sport draft to put one or more of your opponents at a strategic disadvantage.
1. Billy hate drafted Chad OchoCinco because he knew Sam had wanted him since he is from Cincinnati. Billy already had plenty of players to fill that position but wanted to make sure Sam didn't get him.

2. Billy hate drafted Peyton Manning because he was the only good quarterback left and he knew Sam had been planning on drafting him.

Utility beer

Utility beer is the beer you keep around for the day-to-day moments when beer is a necessity to assist in pedestrian activities (golf, plumbing, yardwork, babysitting, staff meetings, Zoom calls). For the beer snob it is the beer you save for neighbors when they drop in at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. It is differentiated from the actual high-end beer you save for special events, holidays, and special tastings.
Person 1: Dave, did you bring along those hazy craft IPA's so we could drink while cleaning Lyle's pool?
Person 2: Nope. I just have a bunch of utility beer that Steve dumped on me. Good enough for this. It is only 10:30 a.m.
