It's also commented under posts of twenty one pilots fans that seem depressed or sad and is then taken literally to stay alive, to stay strong, and that the conditions will only be temporary.

A reference to an issue of a webcomic called Ctrl+Alt+Del, written by Tim Buckley. In this issue, called "Loss", the main character, Ethan, walks through hospital doors, talks to a receptionist, talks to a doctor, and sees his girlfriend lying on a hospital bed after having a miscarriage. Each of the lines are supposed to represent a character. This meme has lasted since its start in 2008, and is still relevant. It is usually accompanied by the phrase "Is this loss?"
