Brogressive. n. A person who holds progressive viewpoints on changes that benefit themselves, and horribly regressive views on issues which do not affect them.

Person: Did you hear about the guy who got 10 years in jail for torrenting?

Brogressive: It's bullshit how hard the government is on these victimless crimes.

Person: I find it offensive how you called that kid a faggot for wearing green shoes.

Brogressive: It's just a joke, like on top gear. Calm down and quit being so hostile.

The Epic Chord Progression

The same four chords used in nearly every hit song which could be defined as "epic". Many people are fooled by the various transpositions, but its all the same stuff. The most popular progression of course being Em, C, G, D (just one example). Please note, the progression can start on any one of the chords, but it will include the other three invariably.
(First noted by a pair of absurdly innovative Oregon high school students).

Musically Uninformed Person:
"OMG! I love Owl City, they talk to my core being and are soooo origional!1!!!"

Musically Informed Person:
"You're a bitch slave to the music industry"

Record Executive:
"Well Jim, we found this new hot young singer who dresses really fuckin' weird like, so they're gonna love her, but she can't write music for shit!"
Co-Conspiring Producer:
"Well that's no problem! Just throw the epic chord progression at 'em with an edgy music video and they'll eat it right up!"

In relation to video games: giving the feeling of nostalgia in a series full of nostalgia while keeping the gameplay fresh to the point it'll be remembered as nostalgia in it's own right and not a gimmick.

n. The process by which one ends up browsing various Wikipedia articles or Youtube videos that are of little or no interest but seemed like they might be interesting at the time. It's likely you'll end up on something totally irrelevant and forget what you were supposed to be doing.

Clearly, the expression is a pun on the musical term "chord progression".

My assignment was on the European Union but after a bored progression I ended up learning about flying lizards
