Origin: John Muckler, who assembled an amazing team "on paper" as GM in Ottawa, but couldn't get it done and was eventually fired.

I called all-in preflop with A-K, but he flopped two pair and I was mucklered.

An article that is designed to get clicks by dropping Robert Mueller's name, but lacks any new, substantive information about his investigation. Often just speculation that Mueller, may be about to do something big soon.

This article is pure Muellerbait. I'm tired of seeing commentators speculating that Mueller will do something big "soon." I just want to see stories about actual developments in the investigation.

3 Resoundingly beaten in a competition of some kind.


As far as I am aware this term comes from the German footballer Gerd Muller who scored lots of goals.

This term probably comes from German international footballer Gerd Muller who used to destroy teams with his sizzling shots from inside or outside the penalty area....

Verb: to Mueller something/someone is to execute a deep lengthy investigation, usually in order to uncover the deepest darkest secrets and crimes of that thing/person, including and often specifically to find secrets unrelated to the original inquiry.
