Although thought to be describing the flight of a female, when used as a verb, means the male has a female clinging in a tree like state and awaiting for him to dick her thoroughly. The only way to get her down is to climb up and knock her down with a stick (Penis). Think the raccoon hunting term that is the same and change the Hunter into a male and the raccoon into female.

Carl was able to have three or four ladies tree’d for the night, and now needs to start picking them off one by one.
