thriftster 

An off-shoot (or sub-culture) of the general hipster trend, but while most contemporary hipsters attempt to buy indie flavor by frequenting Urban Outfitters or American Apparel, a "thriftster" alternatively obtains said style by frequenting thrift stores or through general use of hand-me-downs. While shopping at the Salvation Army may have been included in the original definition of a "hipster," now that mainstream commercialism has caught onto the hipster fashion trends, the term "thriftster" must be adopted to differentiate those who appreciate used clothing and the ideals that come along with it from the ever-increasing group of trendy 20 and 30-somethings who are content to buy the massed-produced version of this clothing without asking how it got to be there in the first place.

"Linda, I love those thick-rimmed 50s-style glasses you're wearing! And you said you're not a hipster. Actually, now that I think about it, I think I just saw those at Wal-Mart."

"Actually, Chloe, I found these in my grandma's attic. Aren't they awesome? I was putting back her Christmas decorations."

Thrifter 

Someone that religiously shops at Thrift Stores looking for bargains and often scores amazing deals. Often dedicated to recycling and reuse of products to keep our planet "greener".

"I'm a real fan of Thrift Stores. They call me a Thrifter, but in a good way! It's amazing the deals you can find. I found a beautiful designer handbag at one last week for $8.00!! Thrifting is my life - and reusing instead of throwing everything away is better for our environment"

thriftystranger is a halo 3 player. He is considered to be one of the greatest ever because of his crazy tactics and skill. everyone fears his clutch thrust and whenever he takes his blindfold off when playing you watch out. thriftystranger does have a son named OMG itz JBLUM and thrifty teaches him everything he knows, although JBLUM excels he will never beat thrifty no matter how good he gets.

Thrifster 

Likes indie and experimental music. Follows the saying "art is whatever you can get away with", and most often practices some form of art. Usually seen driving a beat up vehicle with several quirks, such as a stationwagon. Found shopping at thrift stores and vintage specialty shops. Attempts to start their own trends, such as wearing a satchel, or wearing hats with a company logo (ex. AT&T) that are usually given away free as if they were a designer brand. No specific hairstyles, though unique or unusual styles are common. Unafraid to express themselves in any way they feel fit. If straight, have no problem displaying gay tendencies to make others uncomfortable. Constant party-goers. Parkour is a favorite pasttime, as well as philosophy. Big words are often thrown around, but only because they understand what they mean.

"That thrifster's trend is actually starting to catch on! Maybe I should go buy myself a satchel!"
