The set-to-be-insane sophomore effort of The Mars Volta, set to be released on March 1st.

Oddly enough, Frances of Rome is the patron saint of widows. Her feast day is March 9th, which I think would be a much more fitting day for release of the album.

FtM is set to be out on March 1st. I'm so stoked!

Frances the Mute 

Probably the best Album to come out in 2005 this year. The Mars Volta push the limits of prog rock with this album. Focusing their album more on song length, TMV did something very unique with this album. Basically having one whole song cut up into sections.

Frances the Mute is like a wave of electronic pulse riveting sensation that electrifies the body in a current of complex riffs, collaborations of several different arts of music, along with compassionate vocals, compressing this album into one harmonic sequence of greatness. The Mars Volta are pushing all the limits of Progressive Rock Music.

The muted-flute 

An exercise executed to avoid embarrassment whilst going to the loo in a place where a large, and/or loud poo may be released, and consequently heard by others.

A large amount of loo paper (sometimes a towel) is held directly underneath the bottom of the seated individual currently on the loo. Thus, the excess paper is designed to absorb most of the sound given off from the motion and changes the pitch of the tone to a more subdued base note.

Normally performed in public toilets where the walls separating the individual bowls are marginal; but also when a colleague/family member is know to be in close proximity.

Sam heard the others standing outside the loo, and because of the thin walls was forced to perform the muted-flute to avoid detection and embarrassment from his peers.

Josh entered the public loo's and knew straight away that today he'd be exercising the muted-flute as the partition between the individual lavatories was minimal.

Tom was going for a big crap - the muted flute was the obvious choice.

The Mates 

The Mates are a group of boys who are known as 'the mates' for their most used and most popular pharse, 'maaaaaaaaaaaaate!!' This is a greating pharse and is used when each member sees one another. They are the rivals of the 'Rolling killers' aka 'rk'. Also known by the un-named crew as 'rollin bum boys, rollin cunts, group masturbation crew...' etc. The mates were founded by crew members Dom, also known as 'Dom-maaaaate'. The mates have many other random pharses and words which have gained them ridicule from other crews.
