The motts 

The best way to describe "the motts" is like this:
Do you remember the first time you watched a bad daytime interview show, like Springer or something, and someone is just making a total ass out of themselves, doing or saying something very uncomfortable?
Or when you are sitting through a high school talent show and all of a sudden you feel embarrassed for your classmate who is singing "The Greatest Love Of All" by Whitney Houston?
You sometimes have to cover your eyes, or look away.
Thats "the motts".

The Motts is simply a term used to describe an indescribable feeling of uncomfortable disgust and awkwardness. This can be used in any form, from social situations to describing movies.

"Man, old episodes of MASH really give me the motts!"

"This old man who smelled like meat came into our store today and spoke to me in monotone for 45 minutes about Starwars. I had the motts so bad!"

A term used to describe a hot person. Derived from the saying "She's so hot you have to take her out with oven mitts." This term is reminiscent of old sayings like "the bee's knees" or "the cat's pajamas." Since its creation, it has been adapted to refer to anything that is very good or cool.

About a hot person:
Terrence: Did you see that smokin' hot girl freak dancing on me?
Nicholas: Yeah she was the mitts.

About anything:
Daniel: Dear God. Look at the size of that broadsword. I must have it.
Nicholas: Yeah, that thing is the mitts.

The Moths 

They feel similar to butterflies, but where butterflies are that soft fluttering feeling you get when you are excited or happy, The Moths are that sick stomach-flipping feeling you get when you are worried or are upset about something.

The happy fluttering and sick flopping feeling are actually very similar feeling reactions, just one is for a good reason and the other is for a bad. Therefore since moths are the ugly version of butterflies, they represent the ugly verson of the stomach flip-flopping.

When you see your significant other or the person you are interested in enter into the room, you get excited and feel butterflies in your stomach.

When you see your ex with someone else, you get sick and upset and feel The Moths in your stomach.
