toxipology

When a toxic person incapable of apologizing for their previously toxic behavior does something that they think will make you feel better but instead just highlights more of their toxic nature.

Example;
A power-hungry manager at work gives you authority in the workplace that is beyond your position in an attempt to make up for toxic behavior that he doesn't have the courage to apologize for.
Instead of addressing the unfortunate situation, my power-hungry manager made a toxipology and gave me powers far beyond my station of employment.
