Tauen (or a tau) is an object often found in the possession of a Ridas. Tauen's main objective is to commit suicide, however it can also be used for other tasks. Tauen, even though it is often referred to by Ridas and his peers, is never actually to be found. This leads to various persons disbelieving its existence. Therefore, it is of grand importance to note, that tauen is not necessarily a physical object, but rather an abstract concept located in the humanity's collective mindscape. It is up to each and every one of us to discover and accept tauen.

The word's origin is often speculated to be the norwegian word "tau", which means "rope". This theory is often regarded as an absolute truth, due to the rope's prominent usage as a suicide method, which is in perfect harmony with Ridas' philosophy.

A very sweet and thoughtful man. May not be the greatest looking guy around but is adorable in his own way. He's a goofball and is rarely ever serious unless he's telling you how much he loves you other than that don't expect anything short of laughing your ass off because of his constant stupidity. He will never fail to bring a smile to your face. He is romantic, smart, funny, caring, genuine, and incredibly adorable.
