A campaign that pushes the idea that any african-american who reports any crime whatsoever to the police is a traitor. Quite popular in the gangster rap scene. This has been very effective in reinforcing the racist stereotype that all black people are criminals.

a movement created by mostly urban african americans to intimidate witnesses and stop informants from getting them in trouble. a large red stop sign with "snitchin'" directly below it, supports this movement. sometimes associated with drug trade/dealing and/or violence (usually gang-related) in urban areas.
