shelf-life

(noun) A period of time, usually extended, where sexual relations with others is absent in a person's life/existence. This time period is often always not by one's choosing.
Lonnie and his grandmother were having a heart-to-heart discussion about something weighing heavy on Lonnie's heart. He told his grandmother, "Grammy, this shelf-life is driving me crazy. I'm masturbating like at least four times a day.....and I'm married. I've went a long time without any sex and I got to have some physical attention, y'know?" His grandmother sat there and let her grandson finish then snapped sweetly to him, "Fuck you, grandson, you done'n had more than enough pussy in this life than you deserve. I don't want to hear your fuckin' bullshit. I've been told first-hand by some that know. You don't get down in the pussy, you don't grind in the pussy, you don't take care of the pussy cause you're just out for yourself. Mutha-fucka, now Nikki, there's the muthafucka that could put a hurtin' on all these fast-ass girls you've been fucking and 'in love' with. That young man could square all that pussy away.....he just ain't got that silver forked tongue as you do or your connections. But I'll tell you this much, Casanova, and you can believe this in your ol greedy heart......That boy, to please your girl, wouldn't think twice about taking what tongue he did have and shoving it up her ass while they be locked in a full-on sixty-nine position.....I could almost guarantee you he'd put in all the work it would take till he got girl flailing her limbs, screaming his name, and coming all over his cock. Believe that shit......and grandson......get the fuck off my porch"!!!

Shelf Life

The amount of time for which a meme is considered "spicy", or in other terms, trending. Based on the amount of time something will last before it decomposes, but with regards to memes.

Memes have varying shelf lives, lasting from a few days to perhaps even a few months, depending in its spice factor.

If a meme goes beyond this point, it is considered dead. Although they may undergo impromptu resurrection (lasting a week at the most), all memes will reach their graveyard and respective gravestones and cannot return to the internet shelf.

The shelf life of a meme is not entirely accurate or precise. Memes can be shoved off the shelf faster than the shelf life predicts, thereby accelerating it far beyond expected through use of external factors. For example, if Weird Al parodies it, or Facebook user (particularly Facebook moms) post it to the general public, then the meme dies faster and the shelf life is decreased exponentially. This is mostly unpredictable.

Shelf life is considered the best way to judge the lasting effects of memes (good or bad).

Person 1: "Hey you heard about that new Ugandan Knuckles meme? It's everywhere on VR Chat!
Person 2: "Nah it's a January meme, automatically making it terrible. It will only have a shelf life of about two weeks. At the very least, it won't survive this month."

The Shelf Life of a Corona Vaccine

When people around the world are questioning whether pharmaceutical companies are dead serious in producing a vaccine that could cure humankind of Covid-19, or whether their moneymaking agenda is to ensure that people move from a pandemic to an endemic situation, whereby they would need to be jabbed more expensively every year to protect themselves against allegedly deadlier variants of the virus.
If vaccine manufacturers’ motives were to enrich themselves and their shareholders, inquiring about the shelf life of a corona vaccine would be like asking them an uncomfortable or taboo question, which is likely to yield a vague or unhelpful answer.

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.

In sales terms, a whale is a prospect that is significantly larger than an organization’s average customer.

Whales are large and extremely difficult to close. Due to their immense size, they are highly sought-after.

A whale is typically identified at first by a whale hunter on the sales team, but often requires cross-discipline participation in order to close; this includes assistance from operations, engineering, creative, client success, and business development teams.
"Shit...the sales director chewed me out on the sales call this morning. He's totally pissed that I have nothing in my pipeline. I've been focused on this one whale for so long that I haven't had time to prospect for normal-sized deals."
