recessionism 

Recessionism is a political ideology that believes an economic recession would benefit the rich and powerful while harming the poor and average working class. This is because the wealthy and billionaires would be able to buy things cheaper while the working class would have to suffer more due to the loss of jobs. The recessionist believes that this will push the government to make the rich pay more taxes, thus making the economy better off and this is a form of economic socialism, which is a major part of the capitalist system. The recessionist believes that the economy will get better if the rich suffer more from losing their money and their jobs and that the economy will get worse if the rich get richer and lose fewer jobs.

This is because the average person is a capitalist and the recessionist believes that a capitalist is someone who is against the interests of the poor and the working class, thus making the rich and powerful even go bankrupt.

In 2011, Congress passed a bill that gave more money to the government and banks.

This bill was the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and this act was passed because the government and the banks were in trouble, due to the financial crisis and the recession. This act had some good effects, but it was also used as a way to redistribute wealth.

Recessionism is a classic bait-and-switch ideology.

Recessionista 

A person who evokes being affected by the recession because it's the 'in' thing to do, especially if they have no real need to. They may even pay more for the privilege of having just the right down-market accessories or habits. (Reference the evolution of the hipster.)

We're going to Mel's Diner tonight. The decor's a little shabby, you know with the recession and all, but they have the most fabulous oysters served in replica sardine tins.

Recessivism 

(Noun) 1. Social, political and economic philosophy designed to disassemble (with the intent to destroy) democratic republican ideals and institutions and supplant them with pro-corporate economic primacy. This philosophy is designed to benefit the economic elite, usually corporate, over or at the expense of other communal or societal institutions, such as governments. A practitioner of recessivism champions corporate personhood and rights often at the direct expense of the environment, flesh and blood human rights and socio-economic conditions. Practitioners typically pursue deregulation of financial institutions to the point of facilitating the cannibalistic stage of capitalism.

Recessivism leads us to believe that America was best under the proto-fascist fusion of the British Monarchy, Parliament and the British East India Company.

recessionitis 

noun: the new disease. Much like chronic bronchitis that can take months, even years to go away.

The new excuse to not do anything. This is the act of excluding yourself from social activities because you simply just can't afford it.

1. a type of art, which usually depicts Obama with a serious face looking at all of the poverty in the US, or even examining the sky.

2. a type of fashion, coming from the depression time, where the models where rags and other clothes are made of materials such as trash bags, and other recycled stuff

Boy: To the new ressesionism show!!! not only are the models going to be dressed in trash bags, but there will also be pictures of Obama all over the place
