Punkbuster

An ancient piece of software the for some unknown reason large publishers like EA still use.

The staff at Punkbuster write their code in Java and only work on it from 9-11 am at the local community college computer lab.

The program mainly functions as a lottery system, if punkbuster works you are allowed to play the game that day.

This helps publishers pay as little as possible for servers as they force large portions of the community offline in a load balancing technique.

Punkbuster wont let me play my game online!

A gay ass peice of shit anti-hacking game software. If you do not know a lot about computers or you have vista, chances are if you get a game which has punkbuster enabled for multiplayer, itll give you many errors. yes punkbuster does prevent hacks and most people do not get kicked from it, but its possible that you fall into the small category of people being kicked by punkbuster daily, for no reason at all.

"No, I keep getting kicked by lame ass punkbuster."
