Words you can keep

Preprock

A person who cannot make the full commitment to either Preppy or Punk Rock lifestyles and therefore combine the two. Thus living the lifestyle of a fashionista mixed with the grimmyness of a punk rocker!

Usually seen in today's youth, but not uncommon to see in the 18-25 age group either.
We've all seen them, someone wearing a pair of ripped jeans, spiked hair, and some sort of chain/spike jewelery. But if you look close, those ripped jeans are $100 designer jeans that came with the worn out spots and holes, the spike hair is a well thought out $85 style from Dolce Salon, and the jewelery is some form of Hot Topic gear; which is home to today's Preprock!

Purple Patch

To describe coming into something good, coming into good luck and or good times.

Like walking over small green hills in the countryside then coming across a purple patch of flowers, thus it being unique and out of the ordinary.
I hit a real purple patch.

The other day this good thing happened unexpectedly then I was lucky with this, it was unique, I hit a real purple patch.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
