Me: I was getting whinged at by my parents the other day, but I did a Phoenix Wright. As a result, they apologised and gave me a tenner.

Talented actor of the early nineties/late eighties. He died very young of a drug overdose in October, 1993. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in Running On Empty. He was also a vegan and an activist for PETA. He received a lot of acclaim for his controversial role in My Own Private Idaho, where he was rumored to have begun his drug abuse.

River Phoenix will be missed for his talent, most of all.

One of the best young actor of his time. Sure, this guy was EXTREMELY hot, but thats not all there was to him. He was an AMAZING actor. Best films included Stand By Me, My Own Private Idaho and Running on empty, among many others. No doubt, that if he had not died of a drug overdose on October 31, 1993, he would be considered one of the greatest actors of this time, along with the likes of Johnny Depp.

River Phoenix was a truly amazing human being with a heart of gold, who just wanted some privacy in his life, and did not want to be an open book.
