Patchwork Boyfriend 

Piecing together a boyfriend by means of multiple partners. One gives it up on the reg, one actually spends money on you by taking you on dates, and one fills the everyday needs of hanging out or companionship. When combined, you have the perfect man. (In the ideal situation, the individual components don't know about the others). **This term can also be flipped and used to reference a piecemeal girlfriend.
Hey Mary, what did you get into last night? I tried calling you.

John and I just chilled at the house for a while, then Kevin took me on a really nice lunch date. Oh, and I met up with Ben late night for a drink..we totally got it on again!

patchwork family 

A new family made up from the remnants of divorced families.
Similar to the definition of a patchwork car. This term is used (in English) in German speaking countries.
Those newly-weds make a nice patchwork family. He brought his two daughters into the marriage, and she has a son from her first husband.

patchwork car 

An automobile comprised of the parts of many different automobiles, generally crappy old beater parts from junk yards and such. They will often be different colors, such as a red body with a blue hood, white door and green bumper. Often has parts on it that still need to be fixed (such as broken tailights, missing mirrors, etc.) Operator of said vehicle is usually poor at driving, at best.
Me: Whoah, Meg check out that patchwork car!

Meg: Sure is hideous! And that driver is poor, at best!

An absolutely foolproof way to keep minors from viewing content deemed "too mature" for them to watch.

A)
The Crud that collects under the keys in a keyboard. Usually more severe in the keyboards of programmers and webmasters as they tend to spend a lot of time at the the computer and thus eat at their desk. Mainly affecting IBM Model M (clicly) style boards.
