On the Pond 

Used to describe someone who is a faffer, a time waster, a procrastinator.

Derived from the term "Ducking around" derived from "Fucking about".

Someone who aimlessly wonderers around in circles, with no particular direction.

Perry: Where is Colin, he's late!
Will: He's still at home On the Pond.

Women have entered the room, and it is time to stop talking about tits/ass/snatch/rooting/drinking etc.

Two blokes are standing around talking about the rack on the next door neighbour, when both their wives walk in. One spies them out of the corner of his eye and says quietly, "Ducks on the pond." Instantly, the subject is changed.

Ducks on the Pond

A phrase denoting an imminent or currently favorable situation for the speaker. Also is used to describe a situation in baseball play, where runners are situated on SECOND and third base respectively.

NOTE: I am the author of the prior definition, which had one glaring error that needed fixing (i.e. a runner at second in lieu of first).

I felt the need to remedy my error. That is all. Godspeed, and may ducks inhabit your ponds....wherever they may be.

Guy1:This party is full of husky girls ....Ducks on the Pond!

Used in online gaming, describes anything (in FPS or RTS) that just sits there and doesnt attempt to flee, fight, etc, before being owned. Usually controlled by a noob.

1) omg, I cant wait to play Overcaster, i get mad kills in those games, his ducks on the pond get owned.

2) quack, quack , QUACK! omg, I'm totally pooning these ducks on the pond over here.

Keep 6 on the ponderosa 

When you are going on holidays you ask your neighbors to "keep 6 on the ponderosa". Used in country and western movies. 6 refers to a six shooter pistol.

Hey Griswold! I'm taking the tribe to Wallyworld for a week. Can you keep 6 on the ponderosa old buddy old pal?
