Narci-tistic

(noun/adj.)
A term for someone who gets called a "narcissist" just because they prioritize their own needs, but who might be autistic and simply navigating the world in a way that neurotypicals (allistics) don’t fully get. People with narci-tistic tendencies might come off as self-focused, but it’s more about them managing sensory overload, social challenges, or the double empathy problem—where their communication style doesn’t always click with others. Instead of being selfish, they’re just living in a world that wasn’t designed with their brain in mind. So, before you slap the "narcissist" label on someone, maybe consider they’re just narci-tistic—a unique blend of misunderstood awesomeness.
Before you accuse me of being self-absorbed, maybe you should consider that I’m just narci-tistic—I need my space to recharge, not because I’m full of myself, but because my brain is wired differently.

Jane’s not being rude or aloof, she’s just narci-tistic—she needs time to process things in her own way, which sometimes looks a bit different from what you’re used to.
