Words you can keep

Mannford

A small town in NE Oklahoma, technically part of the tulsa metropolitan area, this town is very much off the map, besides the rare crazy news headline (lady robs bank with knife, cops killing cops or guys walking with katanas, nursing home abuse, or some other goofy bullshit). and for good reason. This place is nothing more than another page in the book of the untold midwestern tales. Populated by truly fallen, twisted, and blind souls, with a few honest, good hearted, genuine people, that are so few and far between, that you really have to dig in the sticks, or wait until they somehow cross your path, seemingly like fate when it finally happens, for you to meet someone who isnt a snake in the grass, in some shape or another... The very ware on the soul of living in this town will in a sense, drain the life out of you, feeling your energy slip away as you're dwelling with erratic drug addicts, trailer park/ country road psychos, the arrogant with plenty of underlying hypocrisy, who will simply try not to acknowledge the obvious problem all around them. Continuing to build senior centers, and replacing dime a dozen gas stations, while at the same time not put two seconds into fixing a road, or you're stuck rather alone in the middle, in the mix of all the pathetic mess around you. At every turn, you will find a dead end here, the case remaining with every being who decides to stay. Falling victim to the curse of this shallow, racist, forgotten town.
Tom: Hey, this mannford place isn't so bad, I've lived here 2 years!!

Mike: Yeah, well maybe in a couple more you'll see that all those urban dictionary portrayals of mannford aren't no bullshit.

mannford

A corrupt, small town located West of the Tulsa metro area ran by a bunch of power-hungry rednecks. The school administration are a bunch of ignorant pricks that are more concerned about punishing students and enforcing strict rules than the students' education.
Student: May I use the rest room to better prepare for my E.O.I. test we're about to take?

School Official: Don't be ridiculous, the rules are no students entering the hallway premises between 12:34 and 2:49! You are in violation of section 19 sector C325 of the Mannford High School Code, you have earned yourself 3 weeks of I.S.I.P. and if you repeat this offense you will be extradited from this school.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
