mandem joking 

when a man says something to a man/gyal portraying it as a joke bc he ent confident enough to ask it for real. if they take it as a joke they act as if it was a joke the whole time, if they take it genuinely then they pretend they was serious or vice versa depending on which way advantages them.

as well as this the phrase can also be used if the opposite person knows what the phrase means
example of mandem joking:

reply1: “nah fuck off”
response1: “haha i was joking relax”
