Someone who has no inherent personality, but will act similarly to others around them to try and fit in. In acting in this manner, the person will be a try-hard about it, annoying those around them who have previous knowledge of them and making themselves look like a fool

Scarlett made a fool of herself at dinner by being a hiptwit with her friend; they looked like complete idiots.
