Gales Ferry

A small town located in the Southeastern section of Connecticut. Most commonly associated as a throughway for such attractions at the world famous Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Indian Casino as well as the United States Naval Submarine Base and Training School.

right in between Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.

Hark upon the Gale

A line from the William and Mary alma mater song. The full verse goes:

"William and Mary, loved of old,
Hark upon the gale!
Hear the thunder of our chorus,
Alma mater hail!"

The college and the students use this phrase a lot, both seriously and in jokes. It is a well-known phrase to anyone at the college.

A few freshmen in the dining hall, loudly: "William and Mary, loved of old..."
Camille: Some freshmen are singing the Alma Mater agian.
Joey: Let's join them!
Camille: Are you serious?
Literally everyone in the dining hall: HARK UPON THE GALE! HEAR THE THUNDER OF OUR CHORUS...
