Fobbits 

An acronym for Fat Old Balding Blokes In Tee Shirts.

When internet chatroom regulars meet up for a social occasion, the older, fatter men will often dress in tee-shirts to try and appear younger. The tee-shirts are invariably black or very dark (with some trendy picture or humorous comment) to try to hide their spreading girth.

Did you see the meet up pics? What a load of fobbits!

They might be trolling on-line, but they dress as fobbits when you meet them.

It's a waste of time you trying to buy tee-shirts in trendy shops - they don't cater for fobbits.

Human being who need a lot of help and the only way they think they can accomplish it is by asking. They have no shame in seeming like idiots simply because they are too ignorant to see it. This term degrades those who do not know much and is pretty rude.

Fobbit 

A term used to describe soldiers in Iraq that rarely if ever leave the relative safety of the Forward Operating Base (FOB). This is a perjoritive term used by soldiers that spend a lot of time outside the wire beaing shot at and dodging road-side bombs, for those soldiers that live a safer and more comfortable life.

The damn fobbits all seem to be getting the new armor before we do, and they don't even need it.

"FUFB!" A chalk message on my platoons vehicles that loosely translates to "F#@k yoU FoBbits!

FOBbit 

The name of those who choose to stay on base rather than run missions on a FOB (Forward Operating Base). Term usually used for grunts when talking about the annoying admin guy.

Did you see LCpl Joyce telling war stories to the new guys... He is such a annoying little FOBbit.

A name given to some Security Forces troops in iraq because the abbreviation SF worn on the sleeve. A super fobbit is someone who never leaves the Forward Observation Base (FOB)

One who resembles Hojin. Saying phrases without words such as "am, and, the"; the state of being fresh off the boat

n. anyone who enlisted in the military and was able to score over 90 on the ASVAB, therefore qualifying for any job OTHER than the infantry, artillery or cavalry.

That fobbit never has to ruck or dodge bullets. I wish I had his job.
