A term used by fat people (and their friends) to describe the discrimination against fat people based on their weight.
In reality, the term "fattism" was coined by fat academics to legitimise widespread obesity in the eyes of the medical and wider communities. In other words, fattism is a fat people's conspiracy to make everyone think that it's okay to be fat.
Fat person: I'm a victim of fattism - I can't get a job.
Thin person: Shutup tard, fattism's just a conspiracy formulated by people like you to make people think it's okay to be fat.
Fattism means structural discrimation of poor people and overall poverty. Fattism can be visible or unvisible in the system, fattism is a system that favors wealth and people with money. It can be built into societies overall way of thinking, when you starta analysing you see the unequality in the system, that favors those with money.
The welfare system had fattism built in. A rich person didn't have to show it's bills to the authorities when it got salary, whilst a person on welfare had to account all expenses & has no integrity left regarding the invoices. This is fattism, a system that treats poor people different. Fattism can also be open, that a person poorly dressed in unfavored on a i.e.) store and a guard follows it around, whilst a person dressed nice gets special service inside a store. This is fattism, unqual treatment, no matter what system.
when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.
This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
