When you're in an elavator and you try to speed it up by madly pushing one of the floor buttontabs or the arrows...you know.

Eleceleration

The act of pressing an elevator button repeatedly in the vain attempt to hurry its arrival at your floor. Can be used in either the UP or DOWN mode.

While watching a fellow pressing the down button multiple times with increasing force and speed, I offered, “I see you’re employing a bit of eleceleration to move it along faster. Good idea that.”
