Educate
To learn someone something real good. The people I don't like need this to happen to them because I think the right thoughts and they think the wrong ones.
Iam "My initial problem was that the people around me took it upon themselves to 'educate' me. I wasn't playing the game right and needed to be taught a lesson. It was subtle at first. I'd be out and about and I hear something say something to me that related to something I was recently talking about. I didn't think anything of it at first. A strange coincidence. How many times does that have to happen before a pattern has been established? At what point does the anecdotal become a statistical reality? I think it's the eyes. I have a rather distinct appearance so I'm not hard to recognize. But it's not a real education. It's this Orwellian facade. 'We know better than you' they say. 'What makes you think you know better than us?' they ask."

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
