Acronym for Distributed
Renewable Resources.
Distributed: Spread out, not in one location

Resource: Thing necessary for accomplishing a goal; often, the goal is staying alive
(e.g., local solar / wind energy, rainwater collection, etc.)

industrialized societies.
(e.g., coal /
natural gas / nuclear power plants, city water treatment facilities, etc.)

Example 2:
DRR provide a much more robust system than
centralized resources; thus, helping prevent resource shortages.
