Unemployed person who signs a "Jobseeker's Agreement" to look for work and in return receives an allowance money to spend on booze et cetera, et cetera. The allowance is given (doled out) to the individual (wallah) in receipt of benefit, hence, the predominately working class expression of 'being on the dole." A Dolewalla is anyone living off state 'hand-outs', not unlike the British "Royal Family".
A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
