The Downward Spiral

A conceptual album and the second studio album released by Nine Inch Nails in May of 1994. It revolves around an unidentified man who basically goes on a "downward spiral" essentially, or path to eventual and imminent self-destruction.
It went quadruple platinum, and was deemed (I can't, for the life of me, remember who said this) "The bleakest platinum album probably ever released."
The Downward Spiral basically put Nine Inch Nails on the map in the 90s.

The Downward Spiral

Hey did you listen to The Downward Spiral yet?

downward spiral

This term describes a depressive state where the person experiencing the downward spiral is getting more and more depressed, perhaps due to causes unknown. It is called a downward spiral because there is no way to stop it, its just going to get worse and worse... until the person crashes, and maybe finds their way back to happiness.
"I don't know what's causing it, but I just want to warn you that I'm on the downward spiral."
"seriously? I hope everything is ok."

or

"I hate my fucking job, my wife is cheating on me, and the only thing keeping me sane is my job with this new startup company that is slowly running out of money for us..."

Downward Dingdong

The act of pointing a boner downward so you can take that first piss of the day when you've got morningwood.
"Man, I woke up having to piss like crazy this morning, but I had major morningwood."
"What'd you do? Piss in your own face?"
"No way, man. Downward dingdong."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.

Example 2:
