Devery
A strange creature native to the beaches of Eastern Florida known for driving trucks that a Mexican would kill his family for. A typical Devery begins life as a beach-bum drinking Captain Morgan and Surfing but tends to morph later in life to an animal with thinning hair who dresses 'fratty.' These creatures are known for having severe ADD and living alone like a recluse. Much like a gremlin, if a Devery is fed alcohol after midnight he goes ape shit, going through metamorphosis where they turn in to a completely different creature commonly referred to as a 'Dirty Dave.' These 'Dirty Daves' scream, yell, and date Bar-Bars.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
