Words you can keep

crosshatch

A form of shading in ink or pencil drawing\sketches, where one creates shadow or the suggestion of colour by drawing lines diagonally in one direction, and then cross-hatching them with similar diagonal lines passing in the other direction.

The more lines you do the darker the shading becomes.

Of course, I just clicked this link off the home page. It could have a whole other slang meaning I don't know.

crosshatching

The action of using a bunch of hashtags on Instagram posts to attract likes and followers.
Person 1: Such a fun day #nofilter #fun #day #flatlay #picoftheday #sun #sunnyday #goodday #dayoff #happy #squadgoals #friends #like #instalike #happy #amazing #love #instagood #summer #smile #follow #followme #followmepleaseimbeggingyou #like4like

Person 2: Quit crosshatching, you're embarrassing yourself and all it gets you are likes from bots.

Person 1: A like is a like -- you know they function as fiat currency, right?

Crosshatch

(v): To take something that was previously boring, unoriginal, or old, and visually revitalize or renew it.
(v): I crosshatched my plain black dress with a purple trim along the bottom and a gold snake embellishment on the neckline.

The shop crosshatched the front window, and it looks great.

Can you help me crosshatch my fashion-style?

This place needs a serious crosshatching.

Coyote Ugly

1. Place

The Bar came before the movie. It is an awesome bar where the girls know how to party and make you feel okay about giving up your money, drawers, bras, and dignity.

2. Movie

A story about a Jersey girl following her dreams, aided by working at this bar in New York.

3. Situation/Person/Decision

See other definitions - waking up next to someone so ugly you'd rather chew your arm off than wake them up.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
