A racial slur, coined by racial anthropologist Dr. Andrew H. Eberle after his time at Yale, when upon auditioning for a predominately African American acapella group of the name Shades, did not give him a call back. The term was created on the spot out of Dr. Eberle's frustration, and came to be used to refer to any member of the African American race.
