A sandwich created by a Puerto Rican living in Michigan circa August 2014. Comprised of at least two saltine crackers (i.e. Rovira or Keebler Export Sodas) filled with any combination of ingredients. Most common fillings are avocado slices, ham, pastrami, boricua farmer's cheese and pulled pork. The term was coined in an effort to poke some fun at this comfort food, by stemming from the diminutive of the Puerto Rican word "cafre". Family and friends of the infamous chef have hailed the invention anywhere from a culinary masterpiece befitting associations with "Andrew Bourdain" all the way down to terms normally associated with giggle inducing bodily noises.
