an insult made to sound like an apology. the cousin of the backhanded compliment, an apologinsult claims to express contrition but in reality seeks to put the blame back on the victim and make them feel worse.

An amazing person. One of the smartest girl you'll meet, and always here to cheer you up. Probably gives great hugs. Socializing with people she doesn't know isn't always her strongest point, and your first conversations with her might seem a bit awkward, but once you get to know an Apolline, you can't help loving her.
