Avoidedness 

A term used during talk therapy to describe a patient's unwillingness to do or think about things that provoke discomfort or unpleasure.
Scott: She sent me a package for my birthday, but I haven't opened it.
Lana: Seriously? Your birthday was three weeks ago--you give in to your avoidedness and might be missing out of a terrific gift!
Scott: I'm . . . I'm not sure that's a word?
Lana: It is now, you lunatic bastard!
