The characteristic way in which members of Generation Z view politics and political discourse. It is defined by either adopting a worldview with an almost religious fever, or on the flipside, being unable to view politics without layers of irony and post-irony, destroying any semblance of meaning from any phrase, word, or belief to the point where no serious understanding of the person's legitimate worldview can be derived.
Person 1: BidenBot will destroy Orange Man with his radical woke liberal energy blast in the 2028 US Presidential Election.
Person 2: You cannot seriously be going to work while there is *thing happening*
Person 3: America falls more and more into complete Zoomerism by the day.

Get the zoomism mug.The act of presenting true, but misleading facts to confuse scientifically illiterate people.
It was named when a teenager named Nathan Zohner sought to ban the chemical "Dihydrogen monoxide" from public use. Zohner stated the following things about "Dihydrogen Monoxide"
-It is colorless and tasteless
-It can easily cause suffocation (especially in its liquid form)
-It can burn your skin at high temperatures
-If too much of it is consumed, it can cause a feeling of being bloated, and possibly even death
-And to top it all off, it is present in EVERY stream, river, pond, etc. in the world
...And so on. Zohner then asked his classmates to vote on whether or not to ban "Dihydrogen monoxide." The vote was yes by an extremely large margin. It was at this point that Zohner revealed the trick: Dihydrogen monoxide is much better known by a much more simple name...WATER! Everything he stated about WATER was true; he just distorted them in such a way to make it sound extremely dangerous. Thus, the term "Zohnerism" was born.

Another example of a Zohnerism would be for someone to say that people should not "Touch their pussies" in front of other people, and saying that it's "Unsanitary" or it "Gets hair everywhere" This is technically true, so naturally people would be supportive of it. But the word "Pussy" can also refer to a cat, which the other people did not understand; by exploiting the dirty minds of his peers, the person just tricked his peers into agreeing that people should not pet their cats in front of other people; but he didn't lie to them at all.

Get the Coomerism mug.Noun. A banal thought terminating cliche used by boomers and boomer sympathizers to convey the failed "conventional wisdom" of their generation. These cliche sayings are typical political or economic in nature and are refutable by hard real-world evidence.
The burden of evidence required to refute a "boomerism" is often substantial, requiring reference to the CPI (Consumer Price Index), Wage Index, or other economic data available on FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data).
Millennials and Zoomers are too busy working their jobs as senior economic analysts, program directors, or serving coffee to pay off students loans, to refute boomerisms.
None the less, entitled boomers feel obliged to be provided with hours of high valued consulting work, at no cost, to disprove them. Millennials and Zoomers have adopted a strategy of responding to boomerism with the much less costly "Ok Boomer".

Boomer: "Well hello there youngster, what are you doing?"
40 y/o balding senior management wage slave: "Doing my taxes. It looks like I might be able to pay off my student loans and mortgage by the time I'm 83."
Boomer: "I see you are eating avocado toast there! You know, if you ate less avocado toast, and lived in a shoe, you could be free of debt by now!"
Waitress: "Now that's a boomerism, if I ever heard one."
40 y/o balding senior management wage slave: "Ok, boomer."
Boomer: "STOP! Ok Boomer is the new N-word!"

Get the Zoomers mug.An ideology which promotes the discrediting of ideas from any person or entity that disagrees with one's preconceived beliefs, regardless of their source's credibility. It is a common ideology among the "Baby Boomer" generation, born between 1946 and 1964, hence the title "Boomerism".
So many young people's ideas are shot down today without a second thought despite the fact that it will ultimately be their job to fix the issues created by the same group that is largely still in power; what a blatant display of Boomerism!
