Originally coined by some idiot who kept saying it in chat. Originally meant nothing. Now it is a word used to get the other person (typically a streamer) to say the word back without knowing its part of the game.
Person in chat: wheater
Streamer: What the fuck is wheater?
in table football when a ballis hit and intended to go forward changes direction and ends up in the players own goal. Named for its creator MR. Wheater himself

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.
This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
