The belief that, due to their remarkable intelligence and capacity for language, culture, and complex empathy, whales and dolphins should be considered equals to humans as species. A whalist believes it is completely degenerate and immoral to kidnap, traffic, torture or kill a whale, unless your people absolutely depend on whale meet for survival. One who converts to whalism has been "whalepilled".
I recently converted to whalism because I'm sick of whales, whose sentience and intelligence rivals that of humans, being slaughtered and imprisoned for food and entertainment.
