A suburb in
west Ballarat. Residents here are known as westies, one doesn't simply become a westie, it takes years of inbreeding, serious
pot, meth and alcohol
abuse (potentially even being producers of all three) and the ability to have bred many times before you reach 19, mostly with different people (possibly still within family). Obviously the latter point is causing the suburb to grow rapidly but not positively. Wendouree residents are the only people in Ballarat who understand how to use the bus
system and efficiently fill out Centrelink forms. On top of this they are extremely adept at using forty gallon drums to keep themselves warm and drawing
semi-legible house numbers on their chimneys using spray
paint they haven't used for chroming. Recently a community
pool has been built, this is to provide basic hygiene because of the ever present risk of 19th century diseases like Cholera and Typhoid.
