vulturistic

A descriptive term used to define and/or classify gay or bi men, via online "hookup apps", (i.e. GRINDR, SCRUFF, Hornet, GROWLr, etc.) that perpetually & incessantly bombard Users with unsolicited cock/dick pics, messages, etc., & are seemingly so desperate that the only way they can seem to get laid is behind a usually grossly inflated, false, or embellished online profiles; i.e. ten-year old face pictures, lying about stats (height/weight/misc.), actual age, etc., that otherwise couldn't get laid in a gay bathhouse with a $100 bill in Thailand. These fellas never seem to be able to "take a hint" when the Users they message/contact don't reply, & cannot fathom that they are possibly not attractive to most. While most Users don't want to "hurt the feelings" of these guys & “say so” by no reply or response, these guys still continue to fire off multiple messages, usually in the middle of the night. If actually met or seen in person, usually the guys they pursue would not even give them a second look, as far as an actual sexual encounter potential is concerned that is. ;-). While the online world has its "positives", this is an example of the "other side of the coin", or negative. Summation: Desperation, lack-of-candor, & poor social skills.
Man, this guy won't take a hint on GRINDR that I'm not fucking interested. Totally & pathetically "vulturistic"! insert actual "scavenging birds of prey" vulture bird noises

vulturistic

1) When humans use tactics such as public humilition, intimidation, verbal attacks and lies, to target other human beings in an attempt to dehumanize and embarrass them in public. Using their personal blogs, some blogmasters and will use such tactics, and print commentary from their blog visitors too, picking their subjects apart, right down to the bone.

2) A feeding frenzy by blogmaster and his/her anonymous blogsters, ganging up on and targeting one or more individuals publicly. It's vulturistic, as they say things they would never say to a persons face, or in public, if their name were tagged to it.
When people post anonymously on blogs, they tend to become vulturistic. Blogmasters control and manipulate the dialogue and postings; it becomes a vulturistic human feeding frenzy at the expense of a person's reputation, and sometimes even their livelihood.

Them Crooked Vultures

Them Crooked Vultures is a recently formed rock 'n roll supergroup that consists of Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Probot, etc.), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) doing drums, bass, and vocals/guitar respectively. Alain Joannes is also a rhythm guitarist for touring. Them Crooked Vultures first played live August 9th, 2009, at Chicago, and performed in more locations for the rest of the month.

Their eponymous debut album will be released November 17th, 2009. It has been described as bluesy, a little funky, and just plain original.

According to a recent interview with Grohl, the idea came when he was celebrating his birthday at a reserved bar with a medieval theme. He asked Homme and then they asked JPJ. It seemed that no one was busy or binded to anything else, so the band was made. An official tour was announced for October and December on September 1st. It includes North America and the UK. Tickets for the tour were sold out within minutes in the UK, and more locations for the tour include Germany.

This is probably one of the best things that happened in the first decade of the 21st century, and will certainly end this decade with a bang.
You guys saw the Them Crooked Vultures live? You, my friends, were a part of history!

vultures

Derogatory (although deserved) term for panhandlers after their method of sizing up who looks the most vulnerable to be hit up on for money, like the bird species which swoops around looking for what they think are weak and/or injured animals to consume.

I see some homeless people swooping all around me like vultures, time to make a abrupt turn away from them!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
