A
woman came into the emergency room because she was sick. When the
doctor asked the reason for her visit, she replied that she had been "vomiking". The doctor corrected her and said that she had been vomiting, but she replied No, she had been "vomiking". He paused for a moment, not sure what to say next, because the
woman was obviously sure this meant something else. He decided to
ask her to explain the distinction, to which she replied "vomiting is when the food comes back out your mouth, vomiking is when it comes back out your nose."
